Buying and selling a car with profit in Europe ?
Where would you say it’s good to buy a car and sell it so you could make some cash of it?
Have you got any tips or anything that may help?

      certain

The only thing I can say is that certain cars sell well in certain locations, and different vehicles sell well in other areas.
I would suggest that you know your markets: Study car prices in various areas & use the information to find out where you can buy low & sell high.
One of the obvious tricks is to look for LHD vehicles for sale in the UK, and RHD vehicles in mainland Europe – it’s possible to make a bit of money on import / export.

    country

What is a good country to export and import to and from?
What is a good country to export and import from? Do the country’s location, climate, topography, and natural resources play a large role? What effect might the economic forces within that country have on the product’s potential?

      MagazineeconomyIndustry,Mechanics,

      From “FORBES ” Magazine

The German economy is a huge restructuring play that will take many years to bear fruit, so investors should go with large German multinationals that are not waiting for the politicians to tell them what to do. They are searching the globe for opportunities and winning big contracts and profits for shareholders. However, the pace of economic growth and employment numbers in Germany seem to be moving in the right direction, with plemty of exports to CHINA, although Germany now imports more than it exports to China.

      Still , Germany manufactures high-quality “EVERYTHING ”
From fine wine to excellent clock movements, and other products, such as….

Machinery, Cars & Heavy Industry, including………

BMW; Bosch; DaimlerChrysler; Linde; MAN; Porsche; ThyssenKrupp; Volkswagen; Audi; Liebher

High Tech & Fine Mechanics, including ……….

      Deutsche Telekom; SAP; Siemens; Infineon

Chemical Industry & Pharmaceuticals such as …….

BASF; Bayer; Beiersdorf; Boehringer-Ingelheim; Degussa; Henkel; Merck

      GEOGRAPHY & TEMPERATURE

Because of its central location, Germany shares borders with more European countries than any other country on the continent. Its neighbours are Denmark in the north, Poland and the Czech Republic in the east, Austria and Switzerland in the south, France and Luxembourg in the south-west and Belgium and the Netherlands in the north-west.

Most of Germany has a cool, temperate climate in which humid westerly winds predominate. The climate is moderated by the North Atlantic Drift, which is the northern extension of the Gulf Stream. This warmer water affects the areas bordering the North Sea including the peninsula of Jutland in northern Germany . This climate has little effect on railroad shipments to other countries on the continent, nor airplane deliveries.

    difference

What is the difference between Mercedes cars sold in the USA compared to Europe?
I have been searching tops brands (mercedes, BMW etc..) on american web sites, and were wondering if anybody knows the difference (if any) between the cars sold in the USA compared to similar cars sold in Europe. Are the emissions higher, fuel differences etc. I am refering to simliar cars with simliar engines, i.e. Mercedes ML 320 CDI SUV. The reason I am wondering is primarily the big price difference.

      questionMercedescheaper

This question could take a lot of explaining…so I’m going to limit my answer to the example of the ML 320 CDI.

MOST Mercedes Vehicles that we see in the States are the same OR very similar to the European versions. However, the Europeans have several different engines that we in the States do not see. The perfect example is the 220 CDI motor. Why? There are plenty of answers to that. Basically the answer is overhead and production costs.

Back to the ML and the price difference. Right now, it is cheaper to buy a Mercedes Benz in the US than almost anywhere else in the world because of the weak dollar. For that reason, many Europeans are trying to purchase MBs here for export to Europe. They can generally make profits of up to $30,000!!! Mercedes Benz, as well as most European governments, does not allow this practice as it damages local economies.

The ML range is also cheaper in the States because they are assembled here (in Alabama in fact). This lowers shipping costs for American consumers. BUT, because these vehicles have to be shipped back overseas, and then usually across half of the continent, the price rises substantially. Not to mention that there are frequently taxes applied to the ML abroad because of it’s size.

Hope that makes sense. Feel free to email me for further clarification.
